What do I need to accept credit cards with Bizhosting?

In order to process credit cards automatically (in real-time), or, if you don't already have a merchant account, select either our Value Hosting package or our Professional Hosting package at sign-up. After you signup for one of these paid hosting packages you will be able to accept credit cards on your site. You will be asked to select a merchant account that is best for you after you signup. We even offer a very low cost ProPay merchant account. Transaction fees apply to all merchant accounts and will be billed by the merchant bank.

The ProPay merchant account is best for you if you don't have a business bank account and a Federal tax ID number. This merchant account will allow an individual to start accepting credit cards quickly. The Propay merchant account is only available to U.S. Residents who are at least 18 years old and have a valid Social Security number. Approval is based on personal financial criteria and is NOT guaranteed.

If I already have a merchant account, can I use it with your service?

When you signup for the Value Hosting or Professional Hosting package you will have the option to accept and store credit card numbers on your site. This option allows you to securely accept customers' credit cards and manually process them if you have an existing "offline" merchant account. After signup you will have to option to enable manual credit card processing.

If you have an existing "online" merchant account, you cannot currently use that merchant account with Bizhosting. We are in the process of adding support for all major payment gateways so you can use your online merchant account in the future. If you do not have a merchant account and want to process credit cards, we offer merchant account options for you to choose from depending on your sales volume.(back to top)

Can I accept international orders using my Bizhosting merchant account?

Absolutely. We know how important international sales can be to Internet businesses. We've partnered with a merchant account provider that allows you to accept orders securely from anywhere in the world. There is no limit to the reach of your products and services! (back to top)

How will my customers find my Web site?

Your Site Admin area has links to site promotion tools that will help you submit your site step by step to the top search engines and information directories. Search engines are the way to help new and repeat customers find your business site. How secure is my Bizhosting shopping cart?

Bizhosting uses the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption method to protect your data and your customers' data from third parties as it is transferred over the Internet. Your information and your customers' information are safe with us! (back to top)

Can I use my own top-level domain with your service?

If you already have your own ".com, .org, or .net" domain name, you can transfer it at sign up and host it on Bizhosting for free! If you don't already have your own domain name, you can register one with us (yourbusiness.com), or receive a free subdomain (yourbusiness.bizhosting.com). (back to top)

Can I upload or copy existing Web pages to Bizhosting's service?

This is one area where our competition falls short! If you already have a site built for your business, we provide two options:

1. Upload a Web site from your computer. If you have already built a Web site using Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver, or another software program, we can help you to easily publish it on Bizhosting.

2. Copy a Web site from somewhere else on the Web. Use our Site Copier tool to transfer automatically your site from its existing location to your new site with Bizhosting! (back to top)

Can I download database files?

Yes. In fact, this feature is very nice for those who want to keep their order or customer information in an Excel file or some other database format. You can download your orders for the day, week, month or all the orders you have recieved. You can also download your customer list. This information is downloaded as a text file (comma seperated)(*.txt) that is easily imported into any spreadsheet program or accounting package.(back to top)

How much time will it take to build a site?

You can build your site and add products in as little as 20 minutes. However, we recommend that you take some time to gather your resources and make your site look as good as possible. Investing time in your business Web site will pay off in repeat customers. You can always go back and edit your site at your convenience. (back to top)

What do I need to build a site?

Here is a list of suggested items to have on hand when you're ready to build your site:
